Warri Political Interest Forum (WPIF) Calls on the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom to Caution Uvwie Youths Against Being Used as Tools by Ayiri Emami to Fight Against the Olu of Warri in Okere Community.

The leadership of Warri Political Interest Forum (WPIF), an Itsekiri youth based socio-cultural cum political pressure group in Warri led by its President Comr. Abugewa Youngreen, Secretary Comr. Lilywhite Esigbone and Spokesperson Comr. Eboma Tuoyo Michael have humbly called on His Royal Majesty the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom Dr. Emmanuel Ekemejewan Sideso Abe 1, to caution youths of Uvwie Kingdom who have been mobilized by the deposed Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom Ayiri Emami and his head thug David Iwere to constitute nuisance in Okere and fight against the respected monarch of the Itsekiris in Okere Community.

It is no longer news that after the failed assassination attempt on the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR on the 2nd of March, 2024 by Ayiri Emami’s thugs. Lucky Esu, Benson Awani, Solomon Temile and others who were on the run after the assassination attempt, ran to Ugborikoko to seek refuge under the coverage and protection of the Ugborikoko Youth Chairman Mr. Kabi.

Furthermore, these same recalcitrant and rebellious Itsekiri’s under the leadership of David Iwere mobilized some Urhobo youths from Ekpan and Ugborikoko axis to fight for them in Okere Community. These Urhobo youths who were under the leadership of Kabi and Culture in collaboration with Lucky Esu, Benson Awani and others came to Okere with guns and cutlasses to cause mayhem on the 23rd and 24th of March, 2024.

However, these Uvwie boys from Ekpan and Ugborikoko alongside Ayiri Emami’s thugs mobilized into Okere Community with sophisticated guns and sharp cutlasses, invaded the community, injured people and destroyed the properties of Okere indigenes.

It is an abberration and an anomaly that sons and daughters of Uvwie Kingdom are being recruited as tools to perpetuate sinister, abominable and obnoxious activities in Itsekiri land. This anomaly has to be corrected by His Royal Majesty as soon as possible.

Thus, the President of WPIF Comr. Youngreen Abugewa implored His Royal Majesty the Ovie of Uvwie to caution his youths to desist from such abominable act. He emphasized the fact that, if anything happens to any Uvwie youth joining Ayiri to fight the king, Uvwie Nation should hold Ayiri Emami responsible not Itsekiri Nation.

Subsequently, the Spokesperson of WPIF Comr. Eboma Tuoyo Michael in his words stated thus “We are using this médium to appeal to the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom His Royal Majesty Sideso Abe I to hurriedly caution the youths of Uvwie land against joining Ayiri Emami and his co-travellers from fighting the respected throne of Warri Kingdom. They should be warned from coming to Okere Community to fight against Warri Kingdom. These obnoxious acts by some of these Uvwie youths working alongside Ayiri Emami’s thugs are abominable acts which will definitely end up tragically if they don’t desist from it.

In conclusion, WPIF will always stand to defend the interest and integrity of the throne and Itsekiri. Thus, any person or group of persons fighting against the throne of Warri Kingdom will definitely meet his/her waterloo. Uvwie youths should stay clear from Itsekiri issue in Okere Community.
