BRIG GEN YD AHMED JOIN SENIOR OFFICERS FOR THE PULLING OUT CEREMONY OF 16 RETIRED ARMY GENERALS

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps Brigadier General YD Ahmed was among the Senior Officers of the Nigerian Army Education Corps that participated in the pulling out ceremony of sixteen retired Army Generals.

Five retired Major Generals namely; Major General MM Bunza, Major General SZ Kazaure, Major General ML Augie, Major General BH Mohammed, Major General LM Zakaria and eleven Brigadier Generals, including Brigadier General JA Fayehun, Brigadier General NF Umaru, Brigadier General BS Ipinyomi, Brigadier General JO Obasa, Brigadier General CA Bossman, Brigadier General OL Olokor, Brigadier General MM Kini, Brigadier General AA Goni, Brigadier General A Abdu, Brigadier General MA Uba and Brigadier General M Kadai were successfully pulled out in a colourful military ceremony held at the Nigerian Army Institute of Science Education and Technology, Sobi Cantonment, Ilorin, Kwara State.

The Special Guest of Honour at the event was the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen TA Lagbaja, who was represented by the Corps Commander, Education, Major M Tsho.

While speaking on behalf of the 16 retired Generals, Major General MM Bunza expressed gratitude to God for their sojourn in the Nigerian Army, having served in different capacities.

He said their services have significantly contributed to the growth of the Nigerian Army Education Corps in particular and Nigerian Army in general.

General Bunza who said retirement is a new beginning of another chapter in their lives thanked the Commander, Nigerian Army Education Corps for organizing the parade.

He lauded him for providing quality leadership for officers and men of the Corps.

“On behalf of the retired Generals, l want to express our sincere appreciation to the Commander NAEC for organizing this event and this signifies your commitment in putting the Nigerian Army Education Corps in it’s right position.

We acknowledge and commend the purposeful leadership you are providing”, he said.

General Bunza added that the Nigerian Army Education Corps is a relevant pacesetter in human capacity development, arts, science, curriculum among others.
