Ayiri Emami’s Armed Thugs Invade Okere Community with Nigerian Police and Anti Cult Group.
The attack and assassination attempt on the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III CFR on the 2nd of March, 2024 by Ayiri Emami’s thugs during the Kings royal visitation to Okere Community led to the arrest and detention of David Iwere, Oyibo Awani, Napoleon Cheke and Austin Lori. These thugs to Ayiri were taken to a Federal High Court for attempting to assassinate the Olu of Warri , though they were granted bail by the Court.
Unfortunately, these group of persons after their release mobilized Lucky Esu, Toju Awani and others to attack and injure innocent indigenes of the community. They caused serious mayhem in the community and threatened to cause more unrest in Okere.
However, yesterday 23rd March, 2024 immediately after Ayiri Emami’s aunty’s burial ceremony in Okere, Ayiri’s thugs led by David Iwere, Solomon Temile, Benson Awani, Toju Awani and others invaded Okere Community heavily armed with guns and cutlasses alongside some police men and the Anti Cult Group led by one Liberty.
The invasion of Okere by Ayiri’s thugs led to múltiple injuries and destruction of properties of persons loyal to His Majesty the Olu of Warri. Up to six persons have been confirmed injured and properties of persons destroyed by Ayiri Emami’s thugs.
Moreover, the most surprising part of the attack by Ayiri’s thugs was that, they were assisted by the Nigerian police i.e Area Command and Anti Cult Group to destroy houses and injure innocent citizens of Okere Community. The likes of them Benson Awani was caught shooting guns in the presence of their bought over police men.
The Interim Youth Executives of Okere Community led by Comr. Oludewa Kelvin(Chairman) and Eboma Tuoyo Michael(Secretary) implored all and sundry to be calm. They stated that Ayiri’s thugs should be handled as criminals because of their criminal activities which includes destruction of properties and physical assault of innocent indigenes of Okere Community.
In addition, it’s visible to the blind and audible to the deaf, that the officers and men of the police force especially the Area Command have been compromised by the bribe that has been given to them by Ayiri Emami.
In conclusion, we are calling on the Executive Governor of Delta State Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to do the needful in Okere Community
