Itsekiris in Ethiope Federal Constituency of Delta State respectfully appeal to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for due consideration in terms of appointments and development initiatives. Despite providing significant support to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) by contributing 45% of the total votes in their constituency during the last electoral cycle, the community feels overlooked and unrewarded thus far.
Comr Thompson Stephen Amejuma, a prominent figure within the PDP leadership in Unit 4 Ward 12 of Ethiope West Local Government Area, articulated this plea on behalf of his fellow Itsekiris during an exclusive conversation with our correspondent. He underscored the substantial electoral backing received by Governor Oborevwori from the Itsekiri populace, highlighting that despite external pressures and attempts at voter manipulation, the community stood by the PDP and supported the Governor’s candidacy.
