Today marked a historic moment for the people of Onicha-Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state as I performed the formal opening of the College of Nursing Sciences, Onicha-Uku satellite campus of the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba.
The project will enhance human capital development in the health sector and is a testament to the insightful leadership of the Minority Leader of the 9th National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu. I commend Rt. Hon. Elumelu for laying the solid foundation of the college and the Hon. Minister of Health and the management and staff of FMC Asaba for this achievement.
The Provost of the College, Mrs. Olisa Maria Ngozi, and the CMD of FMC Asaba, Dr. Victor Osiatuma, conducted me around the e-Library, Demonstration Room, Admin Office, and learning classrooms within the campus. Impressed with the facilities, I donated a 32-seater bus to the college to ease transportation challenges.
