The Delta State Taskforce On Environment under the headship of Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu JP, continued its sensitization of Deltans and residents regarding the cleanliness of our environment as relate to healthy living and safety of lives.
The engagement was from Door to Door, Market to Market, major streets/Road Walk Sensitization Campaign Around Ughelli Metropolis on the Need For Residents and Business Owners to Maintain Strict Environmental Compliance.
Chief Asiuwhu, warned that the government of Rt.Hon Oborevwori won’t tolerate any act of insanitary practices that are detrimental to humans lives and the environment.
This Sensitization is inline with the MORE Agenda Of His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori towards ensuring a Cleaner Delta.
Major Markets Visited include the Ughelli Main Market, Otovwodo Market and Spare Parts Market in Ughelli where the Traders where Sensitized on the needs to keep their Environment Clean, Stop Trading Along the Roads, Stop indiscriminate dumping waste in-between the Roads.
Residents were Also Advised to ensure that they Keep their Environment Clean, Register with Licensed PSP Operators In the disposal of their Wastes, Stop channelling Sewage Pipes to Drainages, Blocking Water Channels, littering the environment; for it leads to Environmental Hazards.
