The Delta State Government has been commended for creating the platform for the Synergy of the Security Agencies operating in the state and government to foster an effective service delivery in the security sector of the state.

The Delta State Government has been commended for creating the platform for the Synergy of the Security Agencies operating in the state and government to foster an effective service delivery in the security sector of the state.

This commendation was made by the Chairman of the Board of the Delta State Security Trust Fund ,Hon. Daniel Mayuku when he led the Board on a working visit to the newly appointed State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwanda Olufemi in his office in Asaba.

Hon. Mayuku said that the state Government via the Delta State Security Trust Fund as partners to the Police and other security agencies in the state is poised to ensure that the needs of the State Police Command is met to directly reflect in the security setting of the state.

Earlier the Executive Secretary of the Delta State Security Trust Fund (Dsstf) and the Secretary of the Board , Hon. Barr. Sam Osasa while speaking said that the security of Delta State is in safe hands with the caliber of the person of the Commissioner of Police now posted to the state.

Hon. ( Barr.) Osasa said that the Commissioner ‘s appointment to the state which coincided with the appointment of the Board of the Delta state Security Trust Fund is a good omen of what the security atmosphere in the state would look like soon as the Delta State Security Trust Fund board is set to accelerate on the objectives of the Trust Fund.

Responding, CP Abaniwanda Olufemi said he was elated that Delta State has a Governor who was very interested in the security of Deltans indeed which is manifested by the setting up of the Delta State Security Trust Fund .

CP Abaniwanda emphasized that security is everybody’s business and as such the Delta State Police Command is poised to cooperate with the Delta State Government via the Delta State Security Trust Fund to actualize a safer Delta State.

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a document containing the needs of the Delta State Police Command to the Chairman of the Board of the Delta State Security Trust Fund trust ( DSSTF) Hon. Daniel Mayuku for consideration for assistance to the State Police command.

Present during the visit were members of the Delta State Police command High command , other members of the Board of the Delta State Security Trust Fund including Mrs Rosetta Ndudi Ofuonyandi, Mr David Onekpe, Mr Roy Odibo and top Management staff of the Delta State Security Trust Fund.
