LABOUR PARTY ANIOCHA SOUTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT CAMPAIGN FLAG OFF IN OGWASHI-UKU

The Labour Party in Aniocha South Local Government officially launched its campaign for the 2024 local government election in Ogwashi-Uku kingdom on the 29th of june. The event was marked by the presentation of manifestos by the Chairmanship candidate, Prince Ferdinand Obaugo Chukwudi, and his vice, Mr. Okwumbu Chidi Simeon, who expressed their commitment to bringing development to the area.

During the event, Comr. Ibolo Harrison, the Councilor Candidate for Ward 2 in Aniocha South, pledged to provide proper representation and create beneficial bye-laws for his constituents. Similarly, Comr. Ebubechukwu Gloria Osakwe, the councilor candidate for Ward 3, emphasized the importance of fairness, equity, and transparency in governance. She assured the people of her dedication to delivering quality representation at the local government level.

She went further to emphasized the importance of supporting and empowering market women, who play a crucial role in the local economy, as well as the youth, who represent the future of the community. She pledged to pay special attention to the concerns and challenges faced by these groups, with a focus on initiatives that will enhance their livelihoods and opportunities for growth.

During the event, Comr Okolie Onyinye Rosemary, councilor for Ward 3b in Aniocha South LGA, made a commitment to prioritize the needs of market women and youths in the local community.

By engaging directly with the grassroots level, Comr okolie aims to bridge the gap between policy-making and the everyday realities of the people she represents. This approach reflects her dedication to inclusive governance and ensuring that the voices of market women and youths are heard and addressed effectively.

The speeches delivered by the candidates underscored their determination to address the needs and concerns of the community, promising a future of progress and prosperity under the Labour Party’s leadership.
